No matter the goals you’re trying to achieve when it comes to fitness, both diet and exercise play key roles. But which one should you focus on more?

The Effect of Fast-food

Everyone loves to eat sweets, pizza, sugary and fast food. You can’t resist eating once you have a taste of it. There’s nothi6wrong with doing this once in a while, however, if it happens on a daily basis it can lead to major gain weight.

If you’re on a diet and try to lose some pounds, having a taste of the “forbidden” food can actually motivate you to go harder during the workout.

Schedule Is Important

Let’s say you don’t have a specific eating schedule due to work and busy personal life, that’s absolutely fair and normal. Add to the ecuation that you eat fast food, sweets and other “bad” foods.

You can go to the gym and train 5 to 7 days a week in hopes to get the results that you so much desire. But if you keep eating the same things the scale won’t go down.

Another thing is to know that losing weight is not the actual goal we all want to achieve.

Burning Fat is The Main Goal

Few people understand the importance that this concept has.
What most gym rats are in pursuit of is losing fat.

Now, fat is something that we naturally have in our body composition and necessary in order for it to function.
When it comes to nutrition, you need to understand the difference between saturated, unsaturated, monosaturated fats (mouthful, I know).

The main point is, your body needs to consume fat but it’s important to know which one to choose.

I’m not here to tell you that you must not eat certain types of food, because truth being said, there is no food that is 100% healthy.

It’s all about balance

Balance play another key role in your fitness journey. If you learn to eat in smaller controlled portions, no matter how much pounds or kilos you’re trying to shred off your body, it will help you by far A LOT MORE than just denying yourself some aliments.

Exercise needs to be combined with a diet that will help your body get all the nutrients it needs in order to function properly.

Sleep and rest are important too but we won’t get into this now.

At the end of the day, you won’t know what type of exercise and alimentation regime are right for you until you start trying and see how your body reacts. Take it easy though. Both on your body and yourself. You need a lot of patience and time.

This journey is a wild and hard one, but so SO worth it.
